- 12/19: This is your WPPCA with holiday greetings and a reminder that luminary sales will be held at the pool on Sat the 20th from 11 till 3 at a cost of $5.00 for a complete set of 10 The luminary display will be on Sunday the 21st beginning at 6 pm. Santa will be riding thru the neighborhood on a special float. If possible do not park on the street. Let's light up our neighborhood.....Merry Christmas
- 12/18: This is your WPPCA reminding of the luminary display on Sunday evening. If you were unable to buy your supplies at the pool on Saturday you can still secure luminaries by calling Dawnette Shelton at 923-1259 and they will be delivered at a cost of $10.00 for 10 complete sets Make our neighborhood bright with the Christmas spirit!
- 12/12: Christmas greetings from your WPPCA...........would you like to go Christmas Caroling in the neighborhood?? Call Diana and Ted Jambon at 926-1208 and Merry Christmas to all !!
- 12/6: There was a breakin in a home on Drusilla across from the school. it happened within the past week while the owner was out of town. Entrance was gained thru the rear door, jewelry and other valuables were taken. We urge to use your alarm system and lock all doors. Be extra vigilant at this time of year.
- 11/20: The annual meeting of the WPPCA will be held on Monday Dec 8 at the westminster school at 6 pm Please make every effort to attend. Our time at the school is limited to one hour, so please be prompt. Hope to see you all there.
- 11/7: There was a break in at the residence of the Carlton and Sharon Jones corner of Blecker and Westminster this morning between 10 and 12. Entry was gained by kicking in the carport door and somehow disabling the alarm system. The sheriff is at the residence at this time. It has not been determined what was taken. Stay alert and report any suspicious activity to the Sheriff's dept.
- 10/24: There was an attempted break in at a house at 3923 Pine Park around 10 AM on Wed. the 23rd It appears they tried to force entry thru a door on the front porch, the alarm went off and scared them away.
- 10/22: Would you like to serve on the board for Westminster Pine Park Civic Assn ? If so call Dawnette Shelton at 923 1259 before Oct.28th Also there will be judging of Halloween decorations on Sunday Oct 26th So get your spooks and goblins ready !! have a hapy and safe Halloween.
- 10/3: This is your WPPCA with a reminder to vote tomorrow for the candidate of your choice. See you at the polls.
- 9/27: There was a series of car burglaries in the Baker and Drusilla area at 12:30 AM today., The white man in his early 30"s was chased away by one home owner. He proceeded down Drusilla on foot and was seen rummaging in a car across from the school. The owner chased him, caught him and held him for the police. He is now in jail. Keep your car and you home locked. Report any suspicious activity to the sheriff at 389-5000 Thank you very much.
- 9/25: There was burglary today at 9024 Norfolk, it occured between 8 am and 4 pm. The side door was kicked in. Numerous items were taken, among them a computer, video games, jewelry etc. If you saw anything suspicious at that time please notify the sheriff at 389-5000. Thank you very much.
- 9/24: This is your WPPCA with 2 dates for you to remember. The first is the garage sale to be held on Sat Sept 27 at 7AM at 4390 Pine Ridge. This sale is for the benefit of the aquatic club to help rebuild the bath house which burned mysteriously several months ago. The second date is Mon Sept 29 at Jefferson Baptist Church. There will be a forum featuring the four candidates running for District 11 council seat, currently held by David Boneno. Again, the forum will be held at Jefferson Baptist Church at 7 PM this Monday the 29th. The election is on Oct 4. The candidates are Allison Cascio, Scott Lemoine, Donald Hodge and Matt Watson. Please plan to attend so that you can identify the candidate that best represents you. Thank you very much.
